I don't start with a solution.

Most fixes solve one piece and leave the rest of the system untouched.


Strategy and capability aren't enough on their own. People need clarity and a supporting environment. Break one link, and the rest doesn't happen, no matter how good the piece you fixed is. 


I start from where you need to be, and work backward. Building toward something people want to follow. Next, I look at what's broken in the chain: what's been decided and what the system rewards or blocks.
